Having identified a novel approach to selling pre-paid phone cards, KBT required a data driven system to implement their vision. As lead developer on the project, I worked with the Business Analyst, other Development groups, and directly with the customer, to implement a system capable of receiving digital inventory of phone cards from several card vendors (Telus, Bell, Rogers), and aggregating them in a locally stored pool, to be delivered to customer vendors at the moment of sale.
Results
- normalized DB designed, handled unanticipated project changes
- single interface for KBT staff across all vendors
- Pluggable Architecture integrated new vendors easily (Fido)
